McMullen Carpentry and Joinery was set up my John McMullen in 2011. John began his City & Guilds in 1999 and right from the start he knew that his interest in the trade was more than just a means to make a living. He served an extremely wide and varied apprenticeship; his intention was to learn and master the many types of carpentry and joinery, from traditional pitched roofs to staircases.

Once his apprenticeship was complete John worked for several local building companies before progressing to a major construction company where he was employed as a Site Manager overseeing the carpentry work. Having gained over a decade of experience in the industry it was in this role that John decided to set up his own firm; and so McMullen Carpentry and Joinery was founded.

The best tradesmen are those that are passionate about their work and who look to push the boundaries of excellence. Tradesmen should look for a reason to do the job well, rather than ten excuses as to why it is wrong. It was for these reasons McMullen Carpentry and Joinery was started.

At McMullen Carpentry and Joinery, we are proud to put our name to anything we do and we treat every project that is undertaken as if it were in our own homes.
